Family
Almost everyone has a family. A family can be made up of many members or only a few members, but each member is closely related to the others. Therefore, having a good relationship between family members is a very important element that promotes good mental health. However, each individual has their own thoughts, personalities, and ways of living. Sometimes conflicts are unavoidable, and they are difficult to solve because they can be related to multiple members of a family. Living in an unhealthy family environment negatively affects the mental health of each person in a family, which could interfere with daily life.

Family, Individual, or group counselling equips you as an individual or group with the skills to make family relationships work better for everyone. Counsellors at Nuway are trained to use a combination of family system theories, such as the Gottman method and client-centred approach, to understand the client's emotions. Nuway counsellors will then create a comprehensive plan that helps the group or individuals navigate their relationships and stress.

Life Transition
A life transition is a change that impacts your life significantly in a good or bad way. Some examples of life transitions are job loss, moving to a new city, loss of loved ones, pandemic, becoming a parent, accident, retiring, graduation, and turning 40. People get used to living in a specific way, and accommodating sudden changes can be difficult. When people cannot adjust to these changes, the changes can cause anxiety, stress, feeling unsafe, and depression. Eventually, these feelings prevent people from performing daily tasks normally.

Counselling supports people to increase awareness of themselves and their challenges, as well as identify existing strengths, learn new ways of coping, and make healthy choices. Counsellors at Nuway are well-trained and have experience in numerous approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, client-centred therapy, relational attachment, and mindfulness-based approaches. They use these approaches depending on individuals to help them move past the obstacles in their lives and identify their personal values, strengths, and abilities in support of their personal and professional goals.
