Kemmy is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in BC with extensive experience supporting children, youth, and adults facing mental health challenges, complex trauma, substance use concerns, and developmental disabilities.

 

Originally trained in Hong Kong, Kemmy holds a Bachelor's degree in Counselling and a Master's degree in Social Work. Her graduate training included extensive study in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Following graduation, she continued to deepen her clinical practice through advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which has become an important part of her therapeutic approach.

 

Kemmy believes that difficult emotions are not problems to eliminate, but experiences to be understood with curiosity and compassion. Drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, EFT, and IFS, she works collaboratively with clients to explore their inner experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

 

Her approach is warm, non-judgmental, and empowering. Kemmy strives to create a safe space where clients can reconnect with their values, navigate life transitions, heal from past experiences, and discover their own capacity for growth and change. She believes that each person is the expert of their own life, and therapy is a process of helping clients reconnect with that inner wisdom.

 

Having lived and worked in both Hong Kong and Canada, Kemmy understands the challenges that can accompany cultural transitions, identity shifts, and starting over in a new environment. She welcomes individuals navigating life changes, relationship challenges, and questions of belonging.
